Has anyone ever used one of those green windshields from MORRIS 4X4??? How green are they? They refer to them as stock replacement but I am not sure about that.

I'm not sure what Morris is selling but mine is tinted a light green. What's your concern specifically?

I just dropped off my ventalated windshield to get glass put in and was asked if I wanted clear or green. I asked the difference, green helps with lights at night.

I like the green glass. It seams to help with glare.

Just checking. Don't mind a little green, just don't want to look like a dragster from the late 50's.

Green may help with glare, but any colored glass between you and what you are looking at will impair visual acuity. (Sorry for the highfalutin language ... but it's what came to mind). Clear glass is safer. Tinted glass was invented to support the profitable air conditioning option.

I was asked the same question and told the same answer...I went with the green tint. I just got my glass back for my ventilating windshield.

What you're seeing there is light passing both ways through the glass- it looks like a much greener tint than it does looking through it.

At night is when the green actually helps the most. It allows you to actually see instead of being blinded by the glare.

The light green tint used on windshields is hardly perceptible from inside, but it is easier on the eyes in bright sun as compared to clear.
I'm going to get a set of glass for my Willys wagon done in Solar Green, at least all the rear glass. That's the real dark stuff seen in the late '50s/early '60s station wagons.

I had the same discussion with my glass guy 20 years ago. Its a green tint that just makes it a bit easer on the eyes. Its better than straight clear.

Tinted is the way to go, hands down. I had the same thoughts about being harder to see....wrong. ;)

With the glass angled like that did you notice any difference in ability to see clearly compared to the glass being closed?

I like that because you get a breeze but not the windshield down level of breeze which is more like a boat ride.

I had a light grey glass put in mine, it was great with the top and doors on, dark inside, but without the top the sun would reflect off it and I could not see. I had it replaced with the eye ease light green and it is a lot better. I drive most of the time with the windshield tied down. Anyone want a light grey glass? It would be hard to ship, but I will give it to anyone that wants it. It would work good in a hard top. PM me if interested, 48195 area.
