Does this look correct? Clips should be where it exits body above the frame pad and on the fender according to the position of the wraps? I forgot to take a pic of this angle when I disassembled it 15 years ago.

Mine comes out of the tank and runs on the inside of the frame rail . It comes out of the frame at the steerbox and is clipped to the tub at the body mount.it then goes over the top of steerbox and back down to the inside of the frame rail till it crosses over to the fuel pump.this is on a 61 Cj 5 and I'm fairly sure it is in the original place

Early models with the tank outlet on the bottom ran on top of the frame and then it the engine. Your picture looks close according the drawing in the FSM.

This is the pre made line from Walcks and matched the shape of my old line pretty close. Couldn't figure out how it could go in the frame channel and get around the master cylinder. Routing this way the line is only attached to the body. Maybe that way to minimize flex?

My tank is gravity feed, the line comes out of the bottom of the tank and lays in the bottom flange of the frame and goes to the front to the fuel pump. I put a new style fuel pump on it, no vacuum pump, which I rotated the top 180 degrees so the fuel goes in the back and out the front, this makes it easier to plumb fuel to the carburetor. Just something to consider. I also put a petcock on the drain so I can fill a can if I need gas, or want to drain the tank.

Working on mine now. The cloth insulators that came on the line, did you include that part in the clip or in other places where it was close to other metal body/frame parts? The one I took off look original but had been messed with and bent over the years. It only had the cloth on the one zig where it goes over the fender lip like in the pic of your above? I can't tell if you have yours clipped at the end of that yellow lip. Mine has a clip there and the old line was clipped in there.
