Front Pinon Gear Seal Replace

    I can't get this nut holding the pinon seal on the shafloosened for the life of me. had an impact wrench on it and she won't budge. Now I'm wondering if its a left hand thread instead of right? Pictures in media section under Bill67Cj5.

    I recently had mine off, it's RH thread. Try heating it with a torch and (more) PB Blaster or the like. Big breaker bar and a "cheater" pipe?

    A breaker bar and a well placed jack worked for me, but it may not have been the safest way.

    Keep in mind with an impact gun, any movement in the part (yoke in this instance) will absorb the impact blows. Make sure to hold the yoke itself rock solid to maximize the effectiveness of the impact gun.

    never had good luck with taking pinion nuts off with an impact. they are just on too tight. need a big bar
