Do you know who produces this bumper?

I think that I'd like to fit a bumper of similar design to the A1. Which is to say that I'd like it to be relatively short, light, and trim (not bulky). D-rings would be nice but are not absolutely necessary.

    :iagree:
I want one, too (however, I'm guessing there's much fab work involved with fitting one to an early CJ).

quadratec has a similar looking bumper in their cat. Personally, I would build one.

That's amazing that a single part number is "bolt-on" for all those years!

JohnnyC, If you buy one and it "bolts-on" (without a bunch of shims or spacers), I'll get one, too!

    Heh-heh... OK. [IMG]

Let's try this... Early CJ5 frames appear to be 29.25" wide measured from the outside surfaces of the frame rails ( http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66895 ). What is the outside frame width at the front of 1976 and newer CJ5s? The rendering found here - http://www.myjeeprocks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3003 - suggests that the front frame width on later CJ5s is close to that of the early CJ5s.

My local 4WD shop (never that capable or helpful IMO), told me a few years ago that no aftermarket bumper was commercially available for early CJs. I may have asked about a winch bumper (I don't remember now).
When I follow the Olympic4x4 link over to Quadratec, the application years change to '76-'06. That's a big change from the Oly site, but more in line with what I've believed for some time.

That bumper looks great. They even have a winch bumper, but it doesn't have a fairlead provision. If a person is going to pay that much, I don't think that's too much to ask.

    I appreciate the link Wlkrpines.

I agree DNB, as cool as it is, that seems like a heck of a lot of money for that bumper. I don't see its weight listed in there either.
