front and rear wheel seals.

    Get a small punch and use one of the small holes that a does not have a small screw in it and tap it out.

    i listened to you guys and walked out and turned it by hand .
    now i need to learn how to clean up that smeared metal so i can get that small screw out.

    someone used a screwdriver on the big nut.
    thats why my socket didnt work.

    i got so used to having to use brute force to do things that merely using my fingers disoriented me.....:D

    See - I told you we could get you fixed up :)

    Get a small file and work on the facing - emery cloth works well too.

    i never doubted you.
    me is another story.





    while i was at it i pulled my tank and solved the disappearing fuel mystery.
    holes in the tank.
    a long time ago someone patched it and they gave out.

    im gonna weld some patches on it right now!*













    * no i am not.
    even i aint that stupid.:D

    small grinder
    file
    hammer
    punch
    chisel
    to repack bearings.
    p.s.
    i still havent gotten the right one off.:)

    at this point i am trying to either break or cut it off.
    drill holes in it and bash it with a 3lb. hammer while holding a chisel in some channel locks?
    i have to go buy more metal drill bits.

    yep drilled grind-ed and chiseled it off.
    note where the hidden screw was.
    i turned it over exactly.

    Now that you have it off... What you gonna do to put it back together? Got a line on replacement part (I believe that ring is fairly particular to that hub type).

    If not - let me know and I will see what I can scrounge out in the shop.

    from the heat and pressure that ring was almost welded onto the threads.
    the threads got a little messed up at the very end of the axle.



    i have some hubs on the way along with a right fender and the FSM.
    should get em Tuesday or Wednesday.
    HOORAY!
    another member saves the day AGAIN!
    i still cant get over how friendly and helpful you all are.
    what a buncha stand up guys.
