The '52 A1 I just got has "Free-Loc" hubs. I'm familiar with Selectro & WARN, but not these. Any info would be helpful.

    Thanks,

An A1 isn't suppose to have locking hubs.

Someone has asked about these before. I remember someone giving the member that asked a hard time (in fun), if they weren't confusing the 'Free' and 'Lock' positions on the hubs with the brand name.

IIRC, It turned out the hubs were a Selectro clone and had been branded Free-Loc.

Do they look like this? If so then they are custom labeled Selectro's. I have also seen them labeled as Sears, Western Auto, etc.

Thanks Oz! Those are exactly what I remembered. I've seen them as Selectro, Dana Perfect Circle and Sears too.

That's them. Thanks for clearing it up for me. My MB isn't supposed to have Selectro hubs on it either but they will stay on as well. I might just paint them OD.

    Thanks,
