I am getting confused. I had assumed my CJ was original height. But am getting ready to remove the tub for a frame blast and notice that my mounts are 2". The PO never mentioned having any lift put in. I have the FSM but there really is no spec. that I can find that talks dimensions for shackle length, mount height. etc. I may still be wrong, but I was under the impression that the original spacer height was an 1", though I don't know where I got that impression. None of the "OEM" replacement kits state heights in their description that I can find. If someone could explain what I should be looking for to determine what may have been changed, I would appreciate it. Thanks

The mounts under the outer front corners of an intermediate CJ tub are thick as I recall, like 2" thick. These are to allow the usual frame twisting, I thought. The ones to the rear under the body are maybe 1/2" thick.

Tim, that's exactly the way I am seeing it, just that pattern. And the pitman is straight. I do have one more question. This is a fiberglass body. It feels secure. But, after I removed the fenders, I noticed 2 mount brackets one on either side, directly adjective to the bell. Are these supposed to be used on a 5? Or reserved for a 6?. The tub appears correct but it surprised me to see them open. The FSM doesn't say anything about them one way or the other. I am not really sure how many are supposed to be used. Looking at the tub, if they are supposed to be attached, I can't figure out how, the tub slope of the floor panel is at least 3"s away. Thanks

There are six mounts under the tub on my 74 glass tub two flush with the firewall two under your feet two right at the riser behind the seats. All about 2 inches the front mounts attach to a metal bracket off of the firewall.

Wow, no idea, have never seen that. If it wouldn't be to much of an inconvenience, could you possibly get me pix of that so I can see what I'm missing. I don't have the FSM in front of me but I don't recall seeing that in any detail. Thanks for the reply, even if you can't get pix, gives me something to look for.
