Are there serial numbers stamped on the frames of cj-2a's like on the 5'sand if so where do I find them? Been looking on my '46 but can't find anything.

if the front bumper frame horns are intact, should be right behind them
side or top of frame, can't remember
probably very faint, may have to wire wheel to see

edit:located on outside of left frame side rail at front end

The serial number should be stamped on a tag riveted to the left frame horn, just behind the front bumper

I had heard about this tag but mine was probably removed to install the power steering bracket / gear. I was hoping there might be another location to look for it at.
