GP........The GPW is next to it
Nice find, do you have any other pics of them? How much do they want for the gp?
I am diggin in the puter now for them..........
I never asked what they wanted.........I do Know where they are.
I needed parts for my Jeep when I was there
from the pic you posted I guess it is somewhat in rough shape.
Not bad and not great........the good stuff was inside the "shop"
time to go back and see how much they want for it
There is a guy in NW NY that is restoring one. It has a GPW body and then there is a gent in OK that is restoring one. If it has the wrong engine there is a gent in CA that has one but no carb.
Why would anyone put a gpw body on a gp, you end of with a jeep that is not worth anything.
I know where they are.
Need to go see that old man about an axle rebuild.
yes you do
Ya know my trailer is empty right now and I do like flatties. R)
GPW on a GP? because everything got used until it could no longer be usefull. Back then labor was cheap and parts relatively expensive.
Back then they actually had repairmen that fixed small items in your house. Imagine having a toaster fixed? Hell toasters are so inexpensive now they get tossed because the color doesn't match the kitchen!
There are Tons more in the woods back there..........well you should know if you have been let back there!
Yep Doug doesn't even know what all he has. R)
My bud Tim and have dreamed about buying him out.
I have seen the back room...........holy cow!
Well I got the Ford home this afternoon. The engine turns over by hand but it is missing the coil and the correct carb. It is still 6 volt though. Here is a link to more pictures. If there is something else you want to see I can take more pictures.
That body would need a lot of work, but the frame looks good from the pics
Yeah, that'll make a good project for the right person with the right resources. Just curious, did the PO know what it is and it's rarity?
Pretty cool, i see potential there.I would even run it like it is, just treat everything so it wouldnt rust anymore. Interesting how the spring to frame mount is so long.
Check for 4 wheel steer!
