I read the first part of this thread. I'm not too clever about vehicle names. My CJ3B is the B. The Commando is the C. My Volvo is the yellow peril. My '93 van is the white whale My Mitsu Fusu has a few names, the least offensive is Grasshopper, The Buick is the blue ick. I did start calling a friends Maxima the Maxipad. He did drive up from Denver in his VW TDI so we had to give him crap about his car.

Silly question but what kind of paint did y'all use on the lettering. I was going to commandeer some of my wife's acrylic craft paint but wasn't sure if it would hold up or not.

    Thanks
    Jason

    :D

Tim's right, automotive pinstripe paint would be ideal. My Jeep is a rattle canned garaged city slicker, so I just used what was on hand, model paint. I hope to get ambitious enough to give it a nice paint job someday.

Thanks Tim and Focker. The paint is horrible on my jeep now so I will just try it with what I have on hand for the time being. My daughter keeps asking when we're gonna paint it so when we finally get to that stage I'll invest in the pinstripe paint.

    A little badge work.

I removed the V6 badge because it was crooked...Decided to give it a makeover.

I was messing around with my vinyl cutter while the badge paint was drying. I couldn't decide on the star or the Punisher skull. I did a search and found one like this...I merged the 2 images together and now have a "Punishstar" decal.

Thanks guys... I really like the nostalgia of the badges. Gold, white, red and black look good together.

Just finished catching up on your build. Nice work Focker. I love the badges. One of the PO's painted the Jeep and pulled them off.

    Looking good!

If my fenders crack, like I am sure they will, the flat fender option will come about!:)

I love it when my daughter helps me work on our rigs. There is NOTHING she is not willing to do in the garage. She loves to learn and soaks it up like a sponge. She asked me for a set of tools for Christmas a couple years ago. HECK YA! Gladly got her a nice 200 peace set of Craftsman tools for her to get started with. And she uses them all the time. She has a Jeep too. :D

    Focker,

What paint did you use on your badges? I have a pair to go on my 3B with a 225.

    Thanks

Maybe a dumb question, but I assume that with all those u-joints you have power steering?
