Poking around under my '53 M38a1, I noticed that my flywheel is more exposed then not. My little buggy has had the Buick 3.8 v6 conversion done to it. I'm thinking that with the bell housing right behind the flywheel, that it would be pretty easy to pick up mud/dirt and whatever else I decide to drive though and have it mashed into the flywheel. I've been looking on the web and really haven't found anything to cover it up. Has anyone else dealt with this?

    Thanks

There are a bunch of different plates used depending on which bellhousing you have. The way they mount and there shape is different depending on bellhousing application. I got a piece of 18 gauge aluminum from the scrap yard and made one on my work bench with a mallet and a drill. Looks decent and works well. Nickmil.
