I have a Ford T-18 and I'm using the Novak adapter plate. The tranny mount bolts to their adapter. However, I think it's a stock replacement mount.

On mine, an AA adapter was used and already had a mount on it which lines up with some exsisting holes in my cross member already. What if i was to heat and bend the edges of the cross member a little bit or ( dont shoot) use a slightly angled spacer between frame and cross member?

You could do that. On mine the poly mount just sort of mashed to the angle of the crossmember. I don't know if it will show in a pic, but I can shoot one tomorrow if you want.

Ya if you dont mind. I was thinking mine would sort of do the same since its not that much twist for it. Also im looking for my dang wagoneer steering components. the wrecking yard i found them in will now not part things off the waggy since its complete. Not happy bout it since there are almost zero waggys in the valley for parts.

You can search the Pick n Pull yards by vehicle on their website. It might narrow down the chase a bit.

If you find one in the Sac area, I'd be willing to check it out for you.

I was told by my buddies who were searching for me that the pick in pull in stockton I beleive had a couple but it dont say now will they tell you if you call if they have the part your lookin for. I have a saginaw box already and a chevy pump and brackets off a '91 chevy 5.7 so Im almost leaning toward making that work but I would so much rather just bolt it on, tweak a little on it and call er good. I will check the craigslist in sac and let you know what i find

There is supposed to be a couple Cherokee Chiefs / Wagoneers in the Rancho Cordova Pick n Pull. But as you said, you don't know what parts are left until you get there. Not sure how the newer chevy pumps mount but, I might have a extra AMC V8 saginaw pump bracket at home. I'll check tonight and let you know.

that would be great!!!!!! If you do, let me know how much you would like for it. Thanks. On another note, got the trans mounted to the frame. Not going to stay like it is though, I had to use 2x2 steel tube to hang it right. Will be making new spacers in the future that are angled on either end to help with the hang up issue?

You can have it if I can find it. I still have a couple of boxes to go through, but nothing yet.

No go on the PS bracket. I was confused and realized and found my extra York A/C bracket.

Do you need a 304 ps pump bracket? I think I have one in the garage that came with my pump.

Is that bracket from an AMC V8? All the ones I have seen are cast aluminum, that looks more like the smog pump bracket I had on my 304 before the PS swap.

No, I got the ps pump and gear from a guy here in Portland. I pulled those brackets off the pump myself to change to 258 brackets. Anyway, if anyone can verify for sure these are 304 brackets Id send them off to ya.

Well I would really really appreciate it for sure! I may have ran into an issue though with the steering. I pulled the front axle forward a little over 3 inchs and now it looks like my pitman arm is going to have to be really really short. Will that be an issue or no?

Here are a few pics of the jeep. Not alot done but might as well throw some pics up.

Here is a pic of how close my steering arms are to the gear box bracket. May have to drag the axle back some which I do not want to do!

Some spare 2x2 steel tube I used as temporary spacers.

This is how I will make my spacers when i decide how i want to make my cross member. help the hang up factor
    [IMG]

Also decided to go with green instead of the all black. What do you guys think?

I like the green. Do you have room to move the steering box forward? That's why I added some length to my front frame horns, so I could move the box forward to compensate for the axle moving forward.
