I saw this on FB, it is not in the marketplace. Located in Kansas. Here is Jeep's version of a 1 ton COE. If this is not acceptable, just let me know. So here is the story on this old truck! From 62 to 72 it was in the service of the Forestry Department for Jones Chapel. From 72 until 2005 it was in the service of Bergman Arkansas Rural Country Fire Department as a brush truck. The story is that they almost burnt it to the ground because it did not have a low enough first gear and they had a full load of water and 3 guys at the bottom of a ravine and could not get out during a fire. They had to use the front 8000 pound PTO winch to pull the truck out. After that it never was sent back into the woods, only fields. Most of the time in parades only and sat behind the fire house. In 2005 the guy I bought it from had it and used it for coffee runs until I bought it in 2008. He is the one who put the flat bed on and these home made poles for using the rear 8000 PTO winch. Only the rear winch works at this point. I got it up and running again and repaired the brakes completely all new other than the brake booster. The truck runs and drives and it all original with around 6000 miles on it. The bad at this point is it needs the power booster repaired. It has the 226 flat head 6 cylinder engine with a T90 3 speed trans and Dana 18 t-case. The rear axle is a Dana 80 and the front axle is a Dana 44. They have 5.89 gears, so it has a top speed of around 45. I have most of the parts to repair all of the rust. It has a clean and clear Kansas title and is ready to go so someone wanting to repair and restore it back to original, or build something killer here it is. I have the factory seats as well as extra stock dash and a extra passenger door. It is 1 of 151 built with the 3 speed trans. Production serial numbers from 10,580 to 10,703 in 1962. Most of the dual rear wheel trucks had 4 speed transmission in them. I had great plans for this truck, but just don't have the time and it needs a new home. I am asking $8500, but will consider reasonable offers. It is located in Wichita, KS.
