Farm Jeep Disc plow ?

Found one ! still in good shape, was under a old hog pen, Not a barn find but next best thing still protected from weather, To the question, What was the factory colors for this equipment?

There are two types of plows
1. a bottom / mold board type and
2nd. is a disc type that has a 20" to 26" disc
( not to be confused with a multi disc about 6" to 10" disc's used after the plowing is done or to just break the ground surface) they came with a 1 or 2 disc versions they really shine when breaking new ground 6" to 12" deep , the disc will cut roots, and not hang up like a bottom plow will, mine is a 2 disc plow pics will be along soon
So any idea as to factory colors, I intend to restore and use during our antique plow days behind my willys jeep.

Rotary plow.
I wouldn't have thought that Jeep used a rotary plow over a standard wing plow because of cost.
Not sure of color, without an old brochureI doubt to many people have ever seen one to even take a guess. Someone on the cj2 forum may have an old scan of a brochure though.

 

We want picts because it's cool. I've never seen a jeep plow.

 

Well, Love, Newgren, and Monroe all made plows and discs for Willys, and even maybe some others. Does this "disc plow" have any I.D. plates on it? I've yet to see a Willys made implement, not saying it didn't happen though. J.B. Love/Newgren Co. appear to be right there at the beginning of the agrijeep development and Love had discs/plows already. Newgren/Monroe's I've seen in literature appear to be red, Love I think (not sure) may have used different colors. And farm tractor builders of the the 40's and 50's weren't always consistent with color anyway. Of course any company could have received a Jeep approved sticker from the factory because if one company supplier didn't fill an order, the Willys dealer had to get it from somewhere, and jeeps were commonly sold by tractor dealers as a side item.

Sparky I think the reason that you did not see them back in your country is because they work better in dry, rocky clay soil, not like you had back there, although I am sure some people used them in other soil. Here in Wy, Mt, Daks, they are pretty common. 40 years ago when I worked on the ranch, I pulled a 21 ft. one with a D-7 Cat. If the soil got wet, they were a bugger to pull. We called them "One Ways" because you can only turn one way with them, especialy the bigger ones. If my memory is correct, I was thinking that they took more HP/sq. ft. of land plowed. I wonder if pulling one with a jeep might have been too much for the jeep vs a mold board? As far as color goes, all my pictures of them on jeeps are black and white pictures
