F134 - Engine Dies After Several Minutes

    A crack in the intake area of the head could conceivably cause these symptoms. As said I would love to see a vacuum reading below the throttle plate both cold and hot.

    I forget. Have you tried a known good carburetor on there? That last video the carb acted like it is not transferring from the idle circuit to the run through the gears circuit. I am wondering if the power valve is shot.

    Tried the old carb this past weekend. did not run very well but it ran nevertheless. Same issue once everything warmed up.

    Going on vacation next 2 weeks so no more work on Jeep unfortunately. Will try vacuum gauge when I get back.

    Do you have a part# for that coil? I can't help but think this is a externally resisted coil being run without a ballast resistor.

    When I took the jeep out of the barn it had an external coil with ballast resistor on the firewall. For sake of keeping things simple I moved over to internal. I have tried 2 internal coils (STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS UC15 and NAPA brand one), they both mention 'internal resistor' on the casing.

    FYI -> The voltage regulator currently on the jeep is STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS VR15, original one on there was a borg warner.

    This may be simplistic but you might try inspecting the gas tank. Mine had the same problem.....found a red shop rag in the tank!

    I'm using NAPA coil IC 14, with internal resistor. maybe no difference

    Very well could be something like that. Another thought is a non venting gas cap will cause a problem like that.

    Have you tried unhooking the generator? Just let it run on the battery?
