I put a 231 v6 in a flattie. I need to add exhaust pipes from exhaust manifold to mufflers. What size should I use, 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2 in. What is the stock size of the y pipes for the 225? What have you other jeepers used?Or does it make much difference on the size?
    Thanks.....

    I'd go with 2 or 2 1/4" . I ran 2 1/4" duels on mine.

2 inch would be my choice, its big enough for a sbc, so i would think it would work well for a v6 also

2 inch also bends easy, easy for whoever is making it to work with in tight bends

I used 2" so it could be bent easily and run inside the frame rails. I also used some new style Turbo mufflers that look like glasspacks but aren't. They fit up under the tub well then the tail pipes exited behind the rear wheels.

2 inch is plenty. Most 231's back in the day are 1.875 iirc.
