Probably everyone sells the same frame made by MD Juan. Look for the best price.

Not sure if you're set on buying new or not. Personally, I prefer original parts. You may be able to find a good used one here, by placing a WTB ad in the classifieds sections or, even on eBay if you like. Shipping can sometimes kill a deal but, sometimes it's a wash compared to the price of a new one with free shipping. Just a thought.

    Aftermarket frames are horrible.
Penny wise pound foolish decision I made when building my 6....

I'm half looking for an OE one to replace it

What exactly is so bad about them specifically?

Wish I had a stock one.
The aftermarket ones are thinner metal than stock, and on mine the opening for the glass was just a smidge too small which made the glass install very difficult.

as others had said fit and finish
the one I bought turned out to be 3/8 inch too short . so that affects opening of windshield glass , stock glass wouldn't fit . 71 has a curve on top of glass .
don't think this would be a problem with top mounted wipers
frame was straight . glass shop cut a new piece to fit.
went to install hard top . same problem frame 3/8 inch too short
found one awhile back . not correct . but if I use both the aftermarket and used frame . I could fix whats wrong

Wire worker's thread about making a MD Juan tub right has just recently mentioned about a hole in the w/s frame for either the vacuum line or the wires, for the wiper system, being non existent on his aftermarket frame. So, there's another thing not right with them. If you don't mind fixing these things and the thinner metal, I guess aftermarket is an option.

Lots of early ( at least out West ) CJ OEM Windshield frames out there with flat top glass and top mounted wipers through 1968..........if your persistent in your looking......most are rusted in and around the lower lip that holds the rubber and glass to the frame.....and the defroster vent............Good vs Bad will get determined there, all will have multiple holes from several previous tops but can easily be welded up and re-finished........later 69-75 curved top glass and lower wipers are the tough ones to find in good restorable condition......but again there out there........flat top glass frames about $50-100 & curved top up to $300 depending on condition.......cost about $140 to ship one..................and your right the aftermarket ones are Junk....
