Early 80s 6-252 6-231 Manifolds

I think there are some rear dumping exhaust manifolds I could buy from an early 80s Buick with either the 231 or 252. Would this mate up to a 225 head to give me rear dump? I have a bunch of rear dump manifolds but these seem extra tight and against the block. Thanks!

Good question; I couldn't remember so I checked Novak's site as I used their headers on a 252 Buick in my 47 Willys. According to them their headers fit the 225, 231, and 252 V6's so that would suggest the even fire manifolds should fit the odd fire...

You could angle mill the ones y have to turn away from block slightly?

 

Thats what I looked at first but I wonder if the ports are shaped the same between the original manifolds and the later model even fires?

 

No I don't think so.

 

Any of the Buick manifolds will work with the right gaskets.
