Does anyone have a part# for this? I can find gaskets, whole exhausts, and all sort of misc pipe segments but nowhere do I see just the flange. I don't want the down pipe, just a weldable flange, as my manifold was modified (shortened and angled outward) to clear my steering.

Any gurus out there know a part#?

"...nowhere do I see just the flange."
The flange is not a separate part, the stock downpipe has it welded on.

Use a stock downpipe, cut it, and weld custom from there.

    Or make a flange.
It's a piece of flat steel with some holes in it. There are people who can do that.

I cut off my stock downpipe and used that to fab my custom exhaust. A good muffler shop should be able to make that belled opening and have that flange on hand. I reused mine, because I am cheap but also have no competent shops around me that can do what I need them to.

Keep in mind, the factory extended the pipe through the flange about 1/2"-5/8" extending into the cast manifold on the 4cyl engines. This helps keeping the gasket from blowing out, and yes, the flange is welded onto the pipe.

Good point, Howard recently had to fix his custom exhaust because the pipe didn't extend into the manifold.

Right. My 65 has some 'local muffler guy' looking setup on it and it leaks. I bet no pipe goes into the manifold.

Well crap.. I just gave my old downpipe to a guy who needed one. I'll see what I can hunt down.

    Thanks guys.

On a good note, I did drive the 57 (Jeep in my avatar) on the road for the first time up to about 35 MPH, open header and all lol (not that anyone lives near me to hear it).
