    Hey Dan,
I used stover nuts on the output shafts when I rebuilt the t-case. They're an all metal locking nut and I think they'd be a better nut for this application instead of a nylock. Any good hardware store will have them.

You're better off with the jam nuts than the nylon type. The nuts that came off your t-case were probably used more than once. They're supposed to be used only one time.

do you guys have a picture of jam nuts or stover nuts?? Yeah i can probably say they are defiantely past their prime. i was going to reuse them with some locktight, but i think it would still just loosen

What's wrong with a little blue loc-tite, and maybe peen the edge of the nut?

I don't know if you'll get that size at a hardward store, a good bolt supply place should have them. On jam type nuts the ends are pinched so they won't come back off without effort. There are different names for the different types, but that's a basic description of them. Take your old one and match the threads up. Or call Walck's for example and have them send you some.
