Do jeepster or comando springs work in cj2a apps.

Hey guys. I am looking at putting in Holdbrook longleaf springs in my 47 cj2a. But someone has said that commando or jeepster springs are offset and longer and would do the same thing. That sounds a lot better than paying $850 from holdbrooks. Any ideas on that from you guys?? I also have a 66 with v6, so this is not a total invasion of this site.

 

Interesting quote............The Holbrook family has been around Jeeps for over 4 decades.......during that time they have contributed greatly to the Jeep community with there innovations, Ideas & skills. That in itself is pretty much what value is all about! Getting a product that has been tried , proven and does what it is supposed to do.............On the surface the Holbrooks do seem expensive ,high quality springs, military wraps, teflon pads between springs and off set center bolts that are placed methodically for a purpose...........Commando & Jeepster front and rear springs are longer than the Holbrooks.

 

I know about the quality, that was not the question. If I could afford them, I would have them already, but like a lot of people now a days, money is tight and when you ad the fact that I also have a farm to run and winter is a very costly time, well, I guess what I am saying is, I was looking for a less expensive way to get to the same ends. I didn't want you to think I was just here to pick the brains of the CJ5 and up crowd. How close do the commando and jeepster springs come to length of the Holbrook springs?? The other reason I wanted to go this way, other than saving a few bucks, was to try another mod. that I've heard about, but never tried. Thanks and let me know about those overall lengths.
