    My son has a 68 cj5 with the dauntless v6 and I want to replace the dist. The vacuum adv isn't working and would like to upgrade it anyway. What is the latest and greatest out there that would enhance this little workhorse of an engine?

    Oddfire HEI. 75-76 Regal Application or convert an evenfire or call cape conversions. Should be a link if you search. Also information on this should be in the V6 references section on the main page.

    Thanks Joel,
    This engine is new to me. I run a small block v8 in my 61 cj5. We haven't had it but a few months and have been making some drastic changes readying it for the reubicon. I like the low end torque, but the gas consumption sucks.

    Just make sure the year of the block is known. See my problem earlier in the forum. It is frustrating when things dont fire.
