    I want to first thank for your help on my dana 30 post. I decided to take it to a shop to have rebuilt.I have a dana 44 on the rear is it supposed to look like on side is broken where the carrie sits on. I have a picture, but do not know how to post it

    When pulling these diffs apart, always mark the saddles carefully so they go back together exactly in the same orientation as from the factory. Except for the sand or rust crumbs, everything looks OK.

    Most all carrier caps are already marked from the factory, if you check them out carefully. Always a good idea to check for the marks though.
