Hello on the subject of Dana 18 transfer case from a 1970 AMC JEEP, what is the wiring sensors for? How to wire up, is it for dash shift pattern display?
    Thanks Rick

Not aware of any wiring on the Dana 18 transfer case ever. There should be a reverse light switch on the rear of your TRANSMISSION. To the rear of the shift lever housing. I know of no other electrical parts related to the stock factory drivetrain in 1970.

Yep - Hi Rick - welcome to the forum from Boston - back-up lights switch is all I can think of, and it's on the transmission top. If you have something else, post up a picture.

Tim's advice is great. I quoted him, but moved your question to its own thread. (y)

People have been known to tap in a 4 wheel drive selector light
