Dana 18 Single Interlock

    Rebuilding my 66 cj5 t-case and considering leaving the inter lock pin(pill) out.
    Is this a catastrophe waiting to happen?
    Anyone done it with the single stick? What are the results?
    Always leave it out on the twin sticks 18 with good results,never tried it with the single stick.

    Leaving the interlock pill out to get a 2L option only works with a twin stick as you have to be able to operate the shift rods independently. Single stick shift rods are linked and shift in sequence 2H-4H-N-4L. The pill is critical to making this work properly in a single stick set-up.

    as tim said . single stick wont operate correct without pill . its the way the linkage is designed
