i do have plans for a speed control knob, i'd like to find one that is like an adjustable resistor in dial form (maybe radio shack?)

and i'll have a fair amount of heater hose under the dash so i will probably try and incorporate a valve that can manage the flow of the coolant. good idea.

sweet find on ebay btw as long as the core doesn't leak you can't ask for more.

finished assembly of the heaterbox tonight, looks pretty good. no camera right now, but pictures are sure to follow soon.

Well, yeah! You're gonna pay close to that for any other switch, and this one's got the coolness goin' on.

Dang it. I can't find it. It's a rotary variable resistor switch that clamps to the bottom lip of the dash. I picked mine up at Napa. I look to see if there's a part number on it tonight.

This is the switch I was talking about on eBay, sounds like the same thing only more "vintage" looking. Illuminated too! Worth the $20 to me anyway.

    That's the one!

I have it and it works great. I got mine from the local NAPA, it was in one of the specialty books. I picked up a matching switch for my driving lamps as well. Seems like I got both for about $20

Oh sure, NOW you tell me that I could have just got it at NAPA for half what I paid for it!

i scooped that switch up and got it hooked up, except for a puff of smoke that came from it everything seems to work fine... and the "heat" lettering was different once it came in, didn't look as nice as the picture. but it does work, i gotta post my finial pictures yet
