Is the T/O bearing designed to have free play/no spin or is it constant spinning?

If I get it to be off the diophram then I don't have enough T to disengage the clutch at all. That's why I need more throw. I think the PO made it work by allowing preasure on the preasure plate which is why the clutch burnt up so fast.

Novak says at least 1/16 of the preasure plate. So off the diophram!

I can't help but wonder if the size of the supply line from the master to the slave has any bearing on the problem. Is the master moving enough fluid to push the slave far enough?

That I can't answere but....its hydrolic so as long as there is no air, whatever is pushed will push on the other end. That's why I'm leaning torward a bigger MC.

I have to say (since I have a Novak Hydro setup) that is not like any Novak setup I have seen. My slave has no stand off from the bell...

Image 14 on this page (second set of pics) Axle - Trans - Pedals and you can see what I mean.

Yeah, I can't answer that either but someone who understands the engineering end of that would know. My first thought is though that a smaller line is more appropriate since it has less volume, allowing the master to be more efficient in its' stroke. Of course my thinking could be bass ackwards too. It also depends on the size of the slave too.

Warlock....I am starting to think that the PO put the spacers in to get closer because he didn't have the full travel on the slave because it's a smaller MC. If I end up getting a larger one I can probably mount it directly to the bell housing and use a longer adjustment rod and alleviate the spacers.

Warlock...what size MC and slave do you have? My slave is a 7/8 bore. My mount is the same as yours and I can mount it just like yours. Just curious of the bore on your master. Mine is set up with two holes at 2.25" apart. Wilwood makes a MC that will mount right up and I can choose what bore I want!

It does look like the pushrod on the slave on Warlochs' is longer.

1987-90 Wrangler clutch master. Something like 11/16 bore.

Worked the first time. I had to adjust and machine the bracket a bit. i used the old T/O bearing and it worked perfectly. I have a couple hundred miles on it and it still works perfect.

As said, I don't have a dog in this fight and I think I would go along with Tarry tells you. Master cyl and slave cyl aren't sized correctly to work properly together. Back to my corner..

Just drove the jeep home. So far so good. One added bonus....she doesn't stall or want to die anymore when I brake or stop. I'm thinking now the clutch was never fully disengaging. Which was bogging down the engine. Thanks for everyone's help!!!!

Well.....my really expensive NOVAK TB decided to destroy itself and come apart. Guess the tranny needs to come apart again. Gosh Darnit. I'm at my wits end. At least it was fun to drive for half a day.
