I want to replace the "ball and socket" clutch linkage on my unmodified 1974 CJ5 a heavy duty spherical clutch linkage. I found a Rugged Ridge kit that the instructions said was for 1972-1986 CJ5, Cj6, CJ7 and CJ8. But their website says it is only for 1976-1986. I contacted Rugged Ridge and they told me the instructions were WRONG and the wedsite was CORRECT. So, the question is where can I get a clutch linkage kit like the Rugged Ridge kit that will work on my standard 1974 CJ5?

Just buy the parts from McMaster-Carr and do it. You don't need any fancy kit. http://www.mcmaster.com/#ball-joint-rod-ends/=ifyaoc

You can use some 3/8-24 all-thread for the shank of the push rod, or thread some rod, or reuse your push rod. I ground the ball joint end off of my push rod (don't cut it shorter) and threaded the Heim joint onto the rod. The ball end is crimped to the rod. Easy.
