Clutch Help Please

Things I know... my Jeep is a 1959 wagon it has a transplanted 1977 odd fire with the recessed flywheel, 9 1/8 clutch disk, the transmission has a r-1-2-3 shift pattern with a very low unsynchronized 1st gear. The big chain part stores have all struck out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can post pics of the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing later this evening if that will help. Any pictures of these components you have described ?
The V6 clutch should be 10.5 inches (or more).
I would think the stock (LUK) V6 clutch would work if the trans is a T90 3 speed.

We need more info.

So the pressure plate has scalloped edges and the clutch disk has that swell on one side. I got a lot of shaking heads at the part stores but no answers.

Look into a LUK 01-029 clutch kit to see if it meets your specs.

Buick V6 Clutch questions

 

I read that article earlier today. Two things jumped out at me. My clutch disk is only 9 inches, also the flywheel has a machined depression that the clutch disk fits in. If O'Riley's fails to deliver in the morning, I plan to call Advanced Adapters. I have a sneaky suspicion that the motor is from a Buick Skyhawk or an Oldsmobile Starfire. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I will keep you posted.

 

I think you're on the right track there. Try looking at clutches from the GM cars that used the 231 v6, IIRC they used the stepped flywheel.

 

Diameter being so small, maybe that's why it smoked.

Well gentleman the clutch turned out to be from an Oldsmobile Starfire which makes sense, since I knew the motor was from 1977. The wagon is back running and inspected and registered. Thank you to everyone who posted ideas and links. Now I'm on to fixing the parking brake cables as they are frozen and need replacing. Are the ones from Kaiser Willys good quality?
