I'm replacing the 8-1/2" clutch plate on F-134 for transmission work and noticed some wear on the flywheel mounting nuts and bolts from what appears to be contact with the clutch plate springs. Working fine and never a chatter for 20+ years....Disc still has 1/16" to rivets. I will probably re-assemble as is, but wondering what may have caused that contact.

Was the disc installed backwards? A new disc usually has a "flywheel side" sticker. The flatter side of the disc goes to the flywheel, and the side with the raised inner hub goes to the pressure plate.
