Been following the forum for a very long time, though I think this is my first post in well over a decade. You all are a tremendous resource and I’m looking for some help. I’m trying to figure out the proper orientation for both clutch and brake pedal return springs on my ’75.

I'm also scratching my head as to what two holes are for on my firewall just above the whole pedal assembly. Seems it's been so long since I took it all apart, I can't quite recall what those are for.

    Images below... thanks in advance.

Your clutch over center spring is on correctly. Afaik a 75 won't have any other clutch return or brake return springs on the pedals. I don't think that brake return spring is stock or needed. Iirc there's a return spring on the plunger in the master cylinder. Also you seem to be missing your brake light switch. The 75 uses a ford type that mounts around where the pushrod meets the stud on the pedal. I think the other two holes are for power brake applications and are unused on manual brakes and just capped off. Hope this helps in sure folks will jump in soon if I'm wrong on any of this. I have a two owner 75 myself. So I think I have most of this correct at least based on how mine is setup.

    Thanks, Jdarg.
Yeah, the brake light switch is yet to be installed. I’m replacing the whole wire harness right now (the insulation cracked on the wiper motor wires, shorted to chassis and fried the whole harness).
That spring on the brake pedal came from somewhere on the pedal assembly. I’m the second owner of the Jeep, had it now 28 years. I’m curious if it may in fact be for the master cylinder plunger as you suggest.
Good call on the holes for a brake booster. That certainly makes sense.
    Thanks for the quick response!
