1973 Jeep CJ | eBay
already higher than I think it's worth
Wow, you guys are tightwads. Unless full of putty and rust that's $1000 of sheetmetal.
That's about the upper limit I would think. Its a long bed!
I never know what to expect from you guys haha
According to eBay, that thing is somewhere here in town.... It makes me curious about the shape it's in. It doesn't look like a bad price if it is as solid as it looks, but I know that things tend to rust a bit more than that around here.
A little over 4 hours to go, and its up to $1325. That seems like a bargain (so far) as the body looks pretty rust free. The rear bed has been replaced with plate, and there are no body seams showing where the 20" extension is in the side panels. Those front floors are original and solid, and the rear crossmember looks rust free.
This could be a good deal!
its a fantastic deal. well worth 1500.00 bucks. that is a SOLID body. if i wasnt an fc snob, id be all over that
i do want a 6, and if i were looking to buy one, this would be the one i would go after. motors and trannys are easier to find than an original, mostly rust free body.
The CJ6 went for $1675 with 5 bidders. The first bidder was also the winning bidder, so good luck to him. I think this was a very solid project Jeep that mainly needed a transmission/tc and some assembly, and was worth the selling price.
Looks like it didn't make the reserve price though...
I was wondering about that. I sent him a message, hopefully he sold it anyway so I'm not tempted
I didn't catch that! The winning bid was a fair price (at least to me) but its not worth much more with a transmission full of water and rust. This will likely be re-listed, but will be suprised if the bids go any higher.
I hope it is relisted. I would be interested in it. I was on vacation and had no internet so I never saw it before it ended.
Best of luck then! Maybe ebay will let you message the guy. It seems like a good build foundation which is why I posted it!
