I converted to Chevy discs eons ago and had problems with the single line MC, the fronts would drag due to the residual valve. I have read (but never done it) that with dual chamber MCs you can remove the residual valve (under the seat for the brake line on the MC) and run an inline residual valve. Can't remember exact specs now but drums need like a 10 lb valve and discs only 3-5 lbs, otherwise they drag.

My solution was 11" drums all around!

I converted my K5 (1 ton axles) Blazer to rear discs, it has been a decade+ ago, but I believe I bought a MC for bigger Chevy box truck or maybe it was just a disc/disc application (??? years are catching up) it is a dual chamber and both are the same size. It works GREAT. Had to plumb in an adjustable brake valve in the rear line and dial it almost all the way down (almost a 60% reduction in pressure) to get the rears to lock up slightly after the front. THAT'S how much more effective they were.
You want the back to lock up after the front, otherwise the back end will swing around on you, ask me how I know...
