I was piddling around on the 47 CJ2A parts Jeeps I got a few weeks ago and noticed something weird when looking under it.

There was a bolt on set of rear coil spring brackets and an odd bracket on the driver side frame rail.

Does anyone know any information or have an documentation on these brackets?

pictures: Try again I moved them here

My '2A had a set of these on the rear when I bought it, and my Jeep had a 3-point lift and a hydraulic post-hole digger on the rear at one point in its life. The angle-iron repair/reinforcements are quite common on these Jeeps as the added weight for such implements was not kind to the frame of the vehicle.

There is no evidence of anything previously bolted in the bed. The rear crossmeber was replaced with a large piece of C channel and a hack job step bumper replacement.
