I just ordered the Carter WO repop from Joe's Motorpool, paid $260 shipped, as everyone on this side of the pond is asking $325; so ordering direct save me some coin.

Curious is anyone here has one and their experience with them?

Maybe ask on the G? I'm interested just for curiosity's sake. Presume this is for the GPA engine. A WO predates the YF, or is a variant?

That is correct, its for the GPA engine.

Had an interesting thing happen though since my original post. Within 12 hours of placing my order, Joe's Motorpool (JMP) upped their price another $65 bucks or so. Then I got a call from one of the few Joe's Motorpool (JMP) US based parts suppliers (name withheld) who told me they "saw my post". So they worked out a deal for that US parts supplier to send me one of their JMP Carter WO's directly to save on the shipping cost from across the pond. By the time I got the call yesterday, I was driving home, and the carb was already on my doorstep when I arrived home that evening.

Reading between the lines, I think JMP wasn't suppose to sell direct to the America's (at that price) and undercut their US suppliers, but their website didn't reflect that. Also everything was posted in Euro's, so you just had to figure out the Euro to US Dollar exchange rate. Hence why I think they jacked up the price on their website so now buying direct from JMP or one of their suppliers is now equal in cost. (Minus the shipping cost from across the pond which would be more)

I didn't mean to exploit a loophole on the JMP website, but I think that-that is maybe what happen; especially when one of their US suppliers noticed how much I paid. Luckily for me JMP still honored the $200 Euro price ($260 USD) so I got my Carter WO for cheap (y)

Another take away for me. The Vintage Jeep community is a small world, and people talk. Also it appears the parts suppliers may troll these forums more frequently than one might think. :ninja:

Methinks "troll" is not appropriate here ... at least not in the internet sense that I understand it. Maybe "follow?" More like "troll" in the way we'd troll a pond for fish is what the OP intends.

The term troll in that context is somehow offensive? Wow

Not offensive so much as interpreted differently on the internet. An internet troll is a provocateur.
