I'm thinking about trying one of these carbs, Holley 0-80350: Street Avenger 2bbl Carburetor 350 cfm | JEGS in place of the 2G that recently started dumping fuel down the intake. Also lots of slack around the throttle shaft. Anyone used one of these? I need to check the bolt pattern, not sure about that.

Lots of discussion of the Holleys if you search. Generally they are poor off-road carbs unless you modify them a lot. Great on the street.

This selection is particularly poor due to the center pivot float.

X2 on what Tim said. If you converted it to a side pivot fuel bowl, with a spring loaded needle & seat, it'd probably be OK. I think I'd find a Motorcraft 2BBL instead, they generally perform pretty well off road. Either way you'll need a carb adapter.

Have a picture of your 2G, i might take it to practice rebuilding carbs if you want it to go to a good home.
