I need a temp and fuel gauge for my '56 CJ5. Part numbers from the old gauges are respectively; KS 49455N, KS 49453N. My local jeep parts guru is drawing a blank. They do not have the letter designation on the gauge only graduations, letters are on the speedo face.
Also need the resistor that attaches to the back of the speedo. You guys got any ideas or leads? :hurrican:

JCWhitney stocks early Jeep gauges. They aren't exact duplicates, but they're the old style gauges with a black face and white numbers/letters and needle. Actually, now that I think of it, go to Napa and look at Stewart-Warner gauges. They also make black face, white number/needle gauges. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I would go with a mechanical temp gauge, and there is a way to get a aftermarket gas gauge as well. While you are at it, get a ammeter or volt meter. Might as well toss in a mechanical oil pressure gauge. lots of gauges in the dash makes people realize this is no ordinary jeep!
