Previous owner must have really worked over the old girl. Drum shaft has a slight bend to it. Anyone have a parts Belleview? Willing to sell the big shaft that runs through the drum?

Wow, thats more than I expected for winches selling for $150.

I have a length of vacuum degassed 4140 that could be turned and keyed. Maybe I'll just have one made.

the ad was for the whole winch, minus the levers and brake band and drum.

Have you priced having one made? bet it wouldn't be too bad.

I think I have one. Actually, I know I do, I just don't know condition. I will try to dismantle the winch tomorrow and let you know.

I dismantled the old thing this afternoon. The shaft was really happy staying in the drum. This one wasn't even a rusty mess but it still took a lot of pounding with a brass drift to walk it out of the drum. The only cleaning I did on this was with paper towels and the residual PB blaster.

If it will work for you, let me know. I am thinking 20 bucks plus shipping.
