if you look at some of the SCUBA boards out there, these seemed popular. Last I saw was a guy in FL had 4 of them and was selling at $1600 each.

Regardless, that would be a neat addition to any Jeep and I don't remember ever seeing one on my tours of B17s. I suppose I need to look in the right places next time, or do the simple thing and ask a guide?

I really don't care what any of you are claiming. Who here is still running 24 volts? Take your 6 or 12 and go take a hike.

so. It has an overdrive behind the TC, A twin stick TC (which I understand you can also find in the D-20 if you look hard enough) and what looks to be a 4 speed tranny behind the v-6. (which looks to be toast, but that is just my humble opinion) Where in the desert did you find this thing?

That 1500 psi is too low of pressure to be useful for SCUBA . Modern tanks operate at 3000 to 3500 psi. Even dive tanks in the '50's and '60's were 2250 psi. Something tells me this compressor wasn't putting out even 1500 psi because that tank doesn't look likes its rated for that pressure, let alone the quick-disconnect.
The M38A-1 still looks like quite a find as the body looks quite nice. It seems to have lots of modern "upgrades" like the V6, OD, bigger brakes, modern steering column w/power steering and on-board air. I also see rubber pedal pads and the factory V6 throttle pedal, so that thing was built probably in the '80's or in the '90's. Probably the latter based on those rims. Nice find!

The middle of the lower gauges in the dash appears to be a 150 psi air pressure gauge. I'd bet it has a lower pressure cutoff setup on it, probably a manual switch too.
the plumbing on the compressor itself appears to have Parker or Swagelok type fittings on it which are high pressure rated, but yeah the rest of the plumbing is suspect. At 0.4 CFM it would take a bit to fill even that little storage tank.

The body on the Jeep looks really great, no doubt about that one.
