Guys redoing a frame for my 75 model cj 5 my old one uses a sua setup with stock with 4" lift springs. I have narrowed ford nines at both ends setup for factory narrow track width. My new setup I have a new set of nines going together for it the springs are hd rear cj's from 76 and up parts. I want to go some wider on the wms to wms on both the front and rear. What kind of wms would you guys use here on the east coast style of trails? I was thinking in the area of 58" or so.

Are you doing SOA with these new 76/up CJ rear springs?

I'm using 44's that measure 61" for the front and 58.5" on the rear, seems to me to be the perfect width for the kind of hardcore trails we have here in Oklahoma, at least with 38" tires or smaller. My buddy runs full width axles, 'bout 68" wide on his '72 and it seems to work great, lots of articulation, and side hills aren't a problem anymore. Now we both have stretched out CJ-5's (mines 97", his is 95") and that seems to have helped more than anything, but their both off road rigs only. Anyway make her wider, you'll love it!

yes I'm in the process of building up a new frame for my cj. I built the one under it up about seven years ago. I using some miltary wrapped rear cj5-7-8 springs. I've got a couple of sets to try out. I just don't want to go to wide on the axles to because of some of the places I like to hunt when the season is in and some of the trails I like to ride are really narrow goat trails.

they are set to stock 75 model cj5 specs plus 1.5 inches I think. I'm gonna save them to put into a 75 model cj 6 I have.

I just stuck to my narrow track axles and went with a 2.5 inch backspaced wheel to throw a little more width under the jeep...
