I hate ads like this. What is army about this cj2a?
1945 Willys Army Jeep, Completely Restored!
Its puke green and has army numbers on the hood.
I agree wholeheartedly.
I didn't even look at the price tag! Seller is either ignorant or disingenuous or both. It's not "restored", army or a 1945. It would still have tool indents for that and if "restored" be column shift and probably a spicer 23-2 axle.
It IS a very nice 2A....
Any old flatty painted green is an "Army Jeep". Didn't you know that?
For that money could you at least install the parking lights...
Send him a text and shred him.
I just can't. When i deal with people like this, it never goes well....
Is it at a dealer? Sounds like someone who doesn't know better is trying to convince someone else who doesn't know better either!
if it really was military . where's all the data plates
I think it's a nice jeep . but way over priced
I can’t think of an environment where that color would ever be stealthy. I bet it would do green screen stuff well.
It would be stealthy in a John Deere parking lot.
I just emailed the seller the link to this thread.
Maybe he can learn something.
Puke "money" green paint job. Wrong color (for an Army Jeep), wrong Jeep (to be an Army Jeep), and way too much coin. Its not even worth half of his asking price IMHO. I think he'd be lucky to get $10K
It’s a good lookin’ 2A, but way overpriced and misrepresented to say the least.
I think its a nice restoration, Good work. Not army, Wrong color.
And too much money.
The serial number looks to be a 45.
I suspect a repop tub?
Bullet hole in the Tag?
I like to read your comments prior to opening the actual link.
At first I thought you guys were being kinda harsh on the guy. Then I opened the ad. Yup......right again. There is always someone out there with a high prices ARMY Jeep. That's not really, but tries to convince others with no knowledge.
The lower tag is the ACM number and not the VIN. The VIN is there, but hard to read but it looks like its 102124 (upper right of top tag). That would make it a '47, which no tool indents and the later grille with surface mounted parking lights would indicate.
I love reading this stuff and seeing the details you folks pick up on that I would normally miss. Your knowledge base is crazy and I appreciate it.
