Hello from the California Desert. I recently aquired this vehicle. It sat in a yard for over ten years so I've gone through all the usual stuff to revive it. I've done stock restorations on Jeeps but never deviated from original. This thing is highly modified and was hoping the experts here could look at it and see if they think these are sound modifications. After flushing the fluids and prepping it to start I got it running and it built oil pressure quick. It had a fuel problem so I had to take the carb apart today and clean it. Now it runs decent but occasionally backfires if you rev it cold. I need to bleed the brakes and get a couple tires and it will be ready to test drive. It has tons of mods and I don't know what some of them exactly are. Looks like a TH350, Stock 225, Winch, Carter carb, Air compressor, two tanks, air suspension, Dana 30 front axle?, Cadallac steering column, headers, electric fuel pump and mechanical, fuel tank switch valve, power steering, overdrive. My main question is the suspension but any other comments are welcome. I want to keep it as it and as safe as possible. It's SOA with axles much wider than my M38A1 has. The axles are 56 or so inches wide and the steering linkage is totally different than my A1. I guess I need to get it on the trail and see if it's stable but would like to get it as safe a possible before then. Thanks!
