Is there a way to shim up these pedal so they don't move left/right?

    Maybe a guide?

    Thanks,
    Jim

Look under the sticky post "show your Saginaw swap here".

There was a thread fairly recently on this. I believe the fix was to use some threaded rod, nuts, and washers to control the play.

It is on or near the brake master cylinder and is operated by brake hydraulic pressure. Being as your master cylinder is dry that's why the brake lights don't work (at least the first issue).

Most people worried about zinc run Shell Rotella T, that's a diesel product that has zinc in it. 10W-30 or heavier if things are a little loose inside.

Just check the transfer case. It isn't hard to check at all. Any D18, which it should have, should be able to run the Warn style overdrive. You just need to count the bowl gear. You've got Herm's site. Lot of good info there.

Thanks, and yes I found his site again.

Ordering the MC from him. The rebuilt MC is 120 bucks w/brackets. That is the one I'm going with. New is 150 bucks.

All I really need is the brackets but to make my life easier (w/all these Jeep builds I have going on), I'll just order the setup.

He doesn't have the switch for the MC-where can I buy/part number for the switch/brake lights.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Also, does that OD help much?

Question on tire size. For the time being (cause the tires on her Jeep were shot) I put some 31x11.5x15 on her Jeep. Now seeing she has about an 8" clutch (I think), I would like to get her some mud terrains in about a 30" tire.

Is the 30" tire still to big for this engine/drive train ?

    Thanks,
    Jim

Jim, have you tried searching? These are all questions that have been answered time and time again.

Gearing, driveline, and tire size all affect what kind of benefits an overdrive will provide.

Ok, I fixed the sticking gas pedal. Had to slide in the pedals linkage toward the carb.

Question, how I. The world do you guys fill the tranny/Tcase ?

Looking at it, it is very tight. I guess a pump or hose, but man there is limited room unless one takes off the inspection plate. :)

I remove the access cover for the MC.

For the T case, I remove the plug you photographed and pump gear oil in there.

    Thanks.

Filled with fluids and she is quite.

Nice having a windshield that opens.
