Well this has been in the works for several months, but I need to git er done....cause that ECJ5 Rubicon run is coming up fast. I used Griffin radiator, V6 Grill that was at one time a commando grill. Ron the owner of fj40 custom cruisers helped build the shroud. I made the radiator supports. The reason for using the commando grill is that the turn signals aren't on the grill on commandos so I was able to make cut outs for the small turn signal lenses keeping the early cj look.

    Ryan,
ECJ Rubicon run? When is this scheduled?
I haven't been on a Rubicon run in over 15 years, since the days when I had my '66 F134 CJ5running.
I'm probably not going to get the '69 back together in time for this, but I'd like to know about any scheduled runs for this group.

It is in the Trail ride and event discussion forum. The plan is to meet August 10th and go in on Monday and out Tuesday.

Just a thought, what is your radiator cap rated for? The stocker for an F-head was only about 4# IIRC, but you can easily go up to a 12-15# unit as long as the cooling system is all in good shape. You'll gain about 2* additional boiling point for each pound of pressure.
