A buddy of mine just ordered the #4005 for his Land Cruiser. Should be here in a week or two. Will check it out when it comes in.

I've seen the bodies in person. VERY well constructed and look very nice. They are not suitable for restoration as there are many differences in the stock tubs vs. the aluminum replacements. If you aren't concerned with "correctness" then they are a very nice option. The ones I've seen were very heavy duty.

They are only about $600 more than a steel tub. Quadratec is a distributor. The panels are way straighter than even a factory steel tub. A friend of mine in CA didn't even paint his, he just buffs it out once in awhile.:v6:

I commented earlier about one that a neighbor purchased. Excellent quality and in some respects better than the original steel tub.

There's an FJ 40 here in town with a aluminum tub, and it's impressive.

I might get one of those flatty tubs and slap it in the Jalopy if I ever re-did the body. At least there would be no rot. :D

I would just have to figure out how to build AL fenders, grill, and WS. That way I could just clear coat it and blind anyone around in the sun :)
