Anyone here running a 258 I6 with a Borla Header?

I've got one on my jeep and a couple weeks ago, I started hearing a rattling noise. Then shortly thereafter the rattling turned to what sounded like a blown header gasket. When I checked it out I found that there is a bung on the side of the header that's not plugged. Checking Borla's website I see that they sell headers with or without "Air Injection Tubes" so I'm thinking that since I don't have the injection tubes that this port was plugged and the plug has just backed out and fell on the highway. I'm trying to figure out what to plug this port with . I can't get to it to just weld it up so I want to buy a bolt or something to just screw in the hole.

Anyone know what size this hole is? I can't get Borla to help.

Here's a pic to show what I'm talking about.

John, I don't know for sure but it looks like a npt pipe plug.

O2 sensor socket AFAIK, for EFI equipped. There's a similar one on my stock cast-iron manifold. There may be a commercially available 02 sensor plug available on Summit or Jegs.

I'd expect Borla is no help because plugging the AI ports would be illegal in most cases.

I thought it was an O2 sensor too Tim, but I was wrong. The O2 sensor is farther down @ the collector and though I'm not running an O2 sensor there's one in the hole.

Borla sells the header with or without the Air Injection tubes so I'm figuring that when they sell one without the tubes they just plug the hole with something.

It's probably just a bolt but I don't know what size it is or what the thread count is. If I did I could probably just locate one and screw it in the hole and be done with it.

I've got a call in to Borla. Whatever they plugged the hole with when it was bought new, they should be able to sell me.

Not sure but I beleive it will be an odd size not readily available. The reason I say this was we had a guy come into NAPA with the same type of issue needed to plug that hole because his car did not use it. He tried all over to get a plug but was not able to so they got one close and welded it in. The manu should be able to help but might be pricy

    for clarification
what would thread into the hole is called an EGR tube
    not air injection
book doesn't list thread size, but it's BIG I know.
all else fails, you could maybe salvage a tube, cut it off, weld it up, and thread it into the header.
    FWIW
