Air Compressor Suggestions

    That Quincy is more reasonably priced than I had imagined, albeit still a bit spendy. Not crazy about the aluminum head. I'm still old school and like cast iron and steel. Just stuck in the past is all. My bad.

    All oilless units are gonna be loud. That's my experience. I did buy a small HF 21 gallon compressor after moving in here and, extended the air intake with black pipe and added a filter on the end. It did quiet if down but, still louder than I would prefer. It is a worthwhile mod though, IMO.

    If I ever get my sand blast cabinet set up again, I am thinking of a used tow behind construction type compressor. The blaster consumes mass amounts of air. I'd really like an old industrial L head engine set up as a compressor. But, I digress........
