    No Reserve: 1973 Jeep CJ-5

Someone posted the craigslist link on this a while back, I can't remember what it was originally going for though. I'm very curious to see what it will go for. It's a nice one!

Not a bad start, imo. Just sent this to my friend who wants to get an older Jeep.

Really basic, but in nice original condition. Typical California car. Not many options; Easy Rider rifle rack. Too bad they modified the steps by bolting the step part to the body.

An '80 is one year outside the "Great Transmission Era" ... and has a M20 rear. A '73 is more appealing, IMO.

i agree as intermediates are my favorite. however, the condition of the β€˜80 on bat is better than the β€˜73.

Looks well used, but not abused.
All the frame patches would scare me.
Marine environment kinda takes it's toll.

Bring a trailer (full of money)

They have great cars on there, but I feel like the prices generally end up above market. Which is great for the seller.

So far, the price on this one seems reasonable. I'll be interested to see where it goes.

    Ended up at $10,750.00. Nice!

That's honestly what I think these Jeeps are worth these days, so I'm glad to see folks willing to pay a fair price.

IMO, a tastefully modified, or a bone-stock honest/DIY resto should fetch somewhere in the $10k-20k range.

Yeah id say thats worth it. The alternatives are an FJ40, Series land rover, or fixing one up to be this nice-and all of those are a lot more!

This one was great. I like it when they have enough wear that you arent afraid to use them for what they were built for, yet nice enough that you arent worried about fixing anything.
