Looks like a good design but theres a couple things: You need to move the mount up to be even with your drag link. Your track bar and drag link need to be as close to parrillel as possible. Looks like it needs to go up a couple inchs to acheive that. Also, I would fasten that mount to the axle as much as possible for strength, especially where it goes over the diff. Build is comming along nicely, well done! How did those radius arms you made turn out?

After looking at the pics again, it looks like a drop pitman arm would put your angles perfect. Be alot easier then raising the mount. Just my opinion.

X2, you really want the drag link and trackbar to be as parrallel and the same length as is possible to reduce bumpsteer.

Where is your drag link mounting to on the pass side knuckle? It seems very high like its mounted to the tire in that pic. I would definately take the springs out and cycle the suspension up, down and articulate it to each side before you fully weld everything in. Its difficult to package everything on a front link suspension thats for sure!

Good to hear for you guy's. For the dradlink i have a knukkle with some kind of hi-steer. Drag link is about 3.5 higher than Oem knukkle , that's why it's so high. Hum using a drop pitman arm was not in my plan, i really don't have that much degree on it at the moment and boby and radiator are not mounted so when it will be done it will compressed a little more so i don't have any concern that way. About the trac bar i know about the fact you need to get one as long as the drag link and parallel as much as possible with it. My concern at the moment is the height of the trac bar, does it need to be at the same height from the ground than the drag link so when you look on front of it you shall see only the drag link because the trac is hide by it?

I agree too my trac bar axle mounting point is too high i will fab someting else tomorow night so it will be lower by 2.5 ". The way it's mounted now i holy have about 4" between coil bucket and the trac bar braket.

72cj5 i'm sorry i would like to answer you're question ( How did those radius arms you made turn out) but i don't understand exactly what you mean....:monkeys: (I'm a french guy from Canada)

    Thank's guy i really appreciate you're help!!!

I was just curious about how the radius arms turned out. I know you had cut the ends off and replaced with heim joints where they connect to the frame and I was just curious if you was happy with the overall turnout of the arms. As for your trackbar mount on the axle, I think your design that you have already is a really good one and I would keep it, but just move the portion of the mount where the track bar will connect. I would move it up just enough so that the track bar is equal to the drag link. Just like you said, when you look at the jeep from the front, the drag link should cover (or as close as possible) the trackbar. So basically, if you extend the portion of your track bar mount up so that the bolt holes are exactly even with the drag link, then it would be perfect.

Looked up some photos of drag link and trackbar setup's online. Here are a few photos. Notice how the mounting points at almost exactly even top and bottom.

Hum i see you're point here 72cj5, but i can't move up the portion of the trac bar that bolt on the axle because i wont have enought space between the coil bucket and the trac bar braquet. for the moment the drag ling is mounted on the hi steer but i can still mount it at the Oem point using a drop pitman arm like you suggest me. That way everything should be perfect. For the raidus arm i'm waiting for the first road test to see how it goes but i can tell you that it flex easily for having doing some test without coil spring in it.

Well no pics for the moment because the Kodak is with my mother in floride but i can tell that i almost finish the front suspension. I receive yesterday my rear yoke forthe cv joint application. I will need to lower my transmission to get a better angle on the d-shaft, that's tonight work.

So here's a basic list of what i need to do for 23-24 june (first ride)
    -Finish welding everything
    -Drive shaft
    -Brake and fuel line
-Finis the rear suspension and put it at the good level
-Put the body back on and drill the hole for the support on the sub frame
    -Take a beer!!!

yes i finish it late last night and i've been on a little test ride...everything seem good but i got vibration on the rear drive shaft (cv joint) too much angle. The rear is about 2 inch higher than the front i'll try to fix that tonight by droping the suspension.

Radius arm turn pretty. It work better than my expectation.

I got 30 inch between tire and the ground with my tire at 20 psi. I will need to find other coil the front come from a 1978 full size bronco and they are not enought smooth so i will need to work on that. Another thing ride on the road it's day and night if you compare with leaf...50 mph two finger on the wheel, it feel more safer than before.

Maybe you could use some coils off a jeep TJ or cherokee or ford ranger? 30" aint nothing to sneeze at for sure, not bad at all! Can i borrow your forklift to check mine?

It work very well, the front is a lillte bit hard but it's because i'm using front coil spring from a full size broncos....i'll try Cherokee coil next week to see the différence. I also have an issu about the shock travel lenght, i will need longer shock. Overall it work very good, smooth on the road and off-roading, never want to came back to leaf spring suspension!!!
