Whitco roll bar sticker

So I had my roll bar shipped to me because the PO didn't have it in the Jeep when I bought it. I picked it up today and I noticed the Whitco sticker. I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share.





If anybody has one of these laying around I'd be willing to take it off your hands. R)

 

I think it's pretty cool too. I call it Automotive Archeology. I found the Whitco sticker covered in paint on my spare tire carrier. I cleaned it off and preserved it when I repainted the carrier. I'll admit it's a bit much but I'm easily amused.

 

I saw that. Love the tire carrier and the sticker. It sucks that there aren't repro stickers by Whitco. I actually had no idea Whitco made the roll bars. I thought they were a Jeep product that was a deal installed option.

 

That is cool. One of my hard tops still has the Meyers Cab sticker on the inside and the wheel that my spare tire is mounted on still has the AMC sticker on it but for anyone to see it I would have to take the tire off the rim, I even found the original bill of sale in what was left of the glove box when I purchased my 72 in 98 but it was in really bad shape and hard to read. I know my Jeep was purchased from Woodys Jeep in Houston Tx. which closed in 86. I knew one of the parts guys who worked there from 1945 when he got out of the army until they closed, he purchased quite a bit of their old stock and sold Jeep parts out of his garage on the North side of Houston for many years, sadly he passed away about 3 years ago. I am also easily amused.
